[ROTATION] For Soothing Rainy Days

Spring break is over, but I'm trying to post up a few last entries before I go on hiatus again. This week is dedicated to easy listening stuff, music that is pleasant and soothing for a rainy afternoon.

The Flood
No Fear of Heights
I'd Love to Kill You
by Katie Melua

If you want decent easy listening/jazz/light pop that SAVE OUR SOULS from the mediocre mainstream pop (oh god, don't mention Taylor Swift, you call that "country"???), Katie Melua is a safe haven. Beautiful, elegant in a very British manner...Surely, her songs' lyrics are just as eclectic as her mysteriously seductive eyes...n btw, No Fear of Heights was used in The Tourist as the romantic background to Jolie's n Depp's boat ride to Italy. ATTENTION PLZ!!!

Lightning's Theme ~Senkou~
Hope's Theme
by Hamauzu Masashi
for Final Fantasy XIII

*Fanfare plz.......* FINAL FANTASY 13!!!! OMG MY LOVE!!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO PLAY U AGAIN!!!! Geee college is a real obstacle that has separated us for so long....but at least I can listen to your UBER-AWESOME music to soothe my loneliness. Lightning's Theme~Senkou~ is straight out of the piano collection (uggggh so hard to play) while Hope's Theme is definitely harp!!! ENJOY~!!!

L'Heure Avait Sonné
Les Souvenirs
by Joyce Jonathan
Oh how light-hearted the French melody, how lightly-kissed the words, how spontaneous the sighs and rhythm....Joyce Jonathan is a new artist, but already her songs are marvelous!!! It's an experience I can't describe with words. SAMPLE IT!!!

Chị Tôi
by Thanh Lam
How sad I am to admit that even though I am Vietnamese, the amount of foreign songs I listen to eclipse those in ma langue natale. But once in a while something extremely moving, exotic, eerie...creep up on me, and they make me proud for being Vietnamese. This is one such example. Almost like Bang Bang~

1 hi-fives!:
