I'm not putting up any music sample because I'm assuming that everyone have seen/heard these music/PVs (except for Les Choristes and Secret OST).

Sweet Mom by Shibasaki Kou 柴咲コウ

Theme song to the movie KONO MUNE IPPAI NO AI WO この胸いっぱいの愛を, starring Ito Hideaki and Mimura. Very cute and sad movie...interesting plot as well. The song on its own is a bittwersweet ballad, addictive chorus and overall, a pleasant composition. A regular good choice from Shibasaki Kou...her songs are always easy on the ears. RECOMMENDED.

Fly Away by F.I.R 飛兒樂團

Okay it isn't Jpop, but it's my current addiction and I wanna share it. This Taiwanese band's name has 2 explanation: the combination of the band member's initial (Faye, Ian, Real), as well as the title Fairy in Reality. The band has many times been accused of stealing the idea from the Japanese band D.A.I, or Do As Infinity (one of my fav as well 2o ^~^). And it's true that the music sound quite similar ~ranging from the Rock to the softer Pop and a sweet Ballad thrown into the album once in a while. Good music don't hurt, so it's RECOMMENDED.

Together When... by Hamasaki Ayumi 浜崎あゆみ

Ayumi's 1st DIGITAL SINGLE (I dunno what that is, really...maybe released digitally). Nice, soothing ballad like Jewel, only w/ a little more Climax. PV is SOO GOOD! Nice for relaxation. 

Destination Nowhere by ERIKA エリカ

ERIKA is actually Sawajiri Erika 沢尻エリカ, known for her acting role in 1 Litre no Namida (w/ Nishikido Ryō 錦戸亮 ) & Taiyou no Uta (w/ Yamada Takayuki 山田孝之). She is also a gravure model - pose for super-high-quality fashion shots - and người mẫu độc quyền cho quảng cáo Nokia in Japan. Hiện giờ đang bị đình chỉ working because of bad attitude, nhưng vẫn đc vote là Most-Desired Face in Japan. This song is better than average, but the lyrics' quite nice!...... Take off to the sky, wind is crying. Don't be confused by what you see....

Les Choristes Original Soundtrack

Notice, this is the FULL OST = 34MB!!! Complete soundtrack for the movie Les Choristes 2004. Very cute movie about a teacher trying to brighten up the lives of boys in a boarding school by teaching them how to sing. He was fired in the end, inevitably, but his efforts left a huge impact on the boys. One escaped to run away w/ him, while another one became a famous singer...Je n'ai vu ce film qu'une fois et j'ai envie de le regarde encore!!! RECOMMENDED.

SECRET Soundtrack by Jay Chou 周杰倫

Jay Chou is Taiwanese, actor, director, singer, piano player...a well-rounded guy. His songs are decent, his movies are watch-able, his looks don't repulse people...he's one guy that I respect. Btw he was nearly chucked out of his agency (coz he wasn't popular then). If his friend didn't stop the boss, he wouldn't have been one of Asia's most influential stars now! His movie Bu Neng Shuo De Mi Mi 不能說的秘密 or simply known as A SECRET I cannot tell has a great soundtrack! And here I present some of my favourite pieces:

They are ALL SUPERB PIANO pieces!!! If you like semi-classical music and awesome hand movements on the piano then you simply must listen to this. It's even MORE amazing on screen...coz Jay Chou played all of these pieces BY HIMSELF!!! The guy's got skills, no? You can download the music sheets to practice, but these songs are mightily hard!RECOMMENDED.

[moved from Y!360] Hanazakari no kimitachi e ~Ikemen Paradise~

Đây là adaptation - live action của manga cùng tên, vốn khá popular previously. Câu chuyện là standard girl disguised as boy into all-boy-koukou. Ashiya Mizuki thần tượng Sano Izumi nhảy cao - high jump, và quyết định giả trai để theo chàng từ Mỹ về (trùi ui, sao giống stalking wé~). Ko ngờ, khi vào đến trường nàng mới biết chàng đã ngừng nhảy cao từ lâu vì một accident. Thí là cô nàng quyết định fải giúp chàng tập lại! Tất nhiên có nhiều chuớng ngại vật, và bức tường trở ngại lớn nhất: anh chàng hoàn toàn ghét cô!!!!

A mon avis, j'aime live action plus que le manga. Câu chuyện more logic, more có đầu có đuôi và consequences, more drama climax và more super funny moments. Nghe tên cũng thấy khác rùi. Ikemen Paradise = Thiên Đường các Chàng Đẹp Trai!!!! Cho thấy rõ là ăn chơi~

Cast

Horikita Maki as Ashiya Mizuki: Nhân vật nữ chính, cứng đầu, ngô nghê, hậu đậu, sơ sót, nhưng nhiệt tình và trung thành. Horikita Maki đã portray vai này rất đạt. Hooray for new actress only 19 year old!
Shun Oguri as Sano Izumi: Đúng là gr8 actor, Shun lại hóa thân seamlessly vào một Sano ngại ngùng, ngập ngừng, ko nhập vào đám đông đc và vì vậy bị tưởng nhầm là quỷ máu lạnh. Thật ra Sano rất muốn thay đổi, nhưng bản chất shy~ ko cho phép!
Ikuta Toma as Nakatsu Shuichi: Actor vốn ko nổi vì trục trặc hợp đồng với công ty bầu Johnny, Ikuta là một diễn viên tuyệt vời (ngoài being hot~). Nakatsu của Toma là người hết sức emotional, thẳng tính, shy theo kiểu hậu đậu nên dễ dẫn đến những trường hợp...điếng người, nhưng hết mình vì bạn bè.
Kamikawa Takaya as Umeda Hokuto:là một trong những diễn viên gạo cội của làng nghệ thuật thứ 7 của Nhật, Kamikawa Takaya đã giật biết bao nhiêu giải thưởng đắt giá trên con đường nghệ thuật. Bác sĩ Umeda của anh là người máu lạnh, ko dễ gì giật mình *ngoại trừ những lúc đối đầu với nhiếp ảnh gia Akiha* và là trụ cột mental của Ashiya trong lúc cô nản chí.
Konno Mahiru as Hara Akiha:Nhiếp ảnh gia Akiha, trong manga vốn là nam, có lẽ là ng duy nhất có thể unnerve Umeda. Konno Mahiru đã diễn tả một Akiha hoàn toàn tự do, thoải mái, bouncy & free như một trái bóng sắp nổ tung. Hình bên ko do justice to the uber-hyperactive photographer tho~
Shirota Yuu as Kagurazaka Makoto:Rival nhảy cao của Sano, Makoto là ng giữ vững thành tích #1 HighSchool HighJump-er trong nhiều năm. Cho dù rất kình địch Sano, Makoto ko ngừng ước rằng Sano có thể trở lại trường đấu cho 1 cuộc showdown fair & square. Shirota is very handsome...nửa Nhật nửa Tây Ban Nha, fluent in 2 thứ tiếng và chơi đc 4 nhạc cụ. Cảnh Sano *mi* Makoto = ~sigh~
Okada Masaki as Sekime Kyogo: Ng bạn đầu tiên của Ashiya ở trường Ohsaka Gakuen, Sekime là thành viên câu lạc bộ Điền Kinh của trường. Cậu ta và Mizuki là cặp ngô-nghê-hậu-đậu-pretty-boys của trường!!! I just wanted to put him in here coz he's so pretty!!!!

Còn rất nhiều ng khác, như 3 dorm leaders, các nam thành viên, và gia đình mọi ng. Ko thể kể hết đc~ Drama này rất xúc động, vì emotional thì thoughtful hết cỡ, và ngu thì idiot ko thể tả đc!!! Từ cao trào này qua cao trào khác, ta ko thể bored đc!!! Có điều, ending hơi dài...ngắn bớt chút sẽ hay hơn. Và kissing scenes....oops, I'm not gonna slip anymore!

MONORAL là 1 băng nhạc JRock, cho dù họ hoàn toàn ko hát tiếng Nhật. Ca sĩ Anis của nhóm mang dòng máu lai Mexico-Nhật, và thông thạo tiếng Nhật, Anh và Pháp vì thế mà các bài hát của nhóm phần lớn được viết tiếng Anh. Kiri, đặc biệt, được dùng làm Opening Song cho anime ERGO PROXY năm 2006. Bài hát nói về hy vọng của một người tuyệt vọng, và ước muốn được sống hạnh phúc trong một cuộc sống vô vị. RECOMMENDED.

NOW by Onitsuka Chihiro 鬼束ちひろ

Tôi biết đến Onitsuka Chihiro năm 2005 qua Misaki, và đã hoàn toàn được CHINH PHỤC bởi giọng hát truyền cảm của cô. NOW là bài hát hoàn toàn bằng tiếng Anh trong single BOKURA BARA NO HIBI 僕等バラ色の日々 ra mắt tháng 9 vừa qua. Bài hát nói đến BÂY GIỜ, bây giờ ko fải hôm nay, ko fải hôm qua, ko fải ngày mai, nhưng là giây phút này. Những gì ta có thể làm ngay lúc này...RECOMMENDED.

LOVE & TRUTH by YUI

YUI là nữ ca sĩ đầy triển vọng của làng JAPAN MUSIC. Đây là một trong những bài more Rock-style của cô. PV is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! n btw, this is one the last ones from her that got me hooked...the new stuff r rather mediocre. Anyway, RECOMMENDED.

Talkin' 2 Myself by Hamasaki Ayumi 浜崎あゆみ

I think Japanese Music is turning Rock....Nữ hoàng nhạc Pop Ayumi Hamasaki releases Rock Single TALKIN' 2 MYSELF. Cô dùng slang tiếng Anh trong title: "2" = "to". Một trong những bài hát hay nhất của Ayumi to date, for me. RECOMMENDED.

Again by Tanimura Nana 谷村奈南

I'm feelin tuned to the slow beats and soothing rhythms...n found a new artist! Tanimura Nana is a debuting artist (this year? dunno) and her single AGAIN caught my attention immediately. It is mainstream pop, but the melody is not your happy-go-lucky hyper type of Otsuka Ai. It's really soothing and emotional...check her out! RECOMMENDED.

SAKURA by Ikimonogakari いきものがかり

Horridly long name but absolutely cool music!!! This song is, to me, a female counterpart of Akane Zora by Remioromen (perhaps i'll put that up on the next rotation). It's sweet (not sugary sweet but natural sweet) and calming but not dead...the melody is alive with fluctuating notes and the singer voice fits it just right!. The band itself is quite successful despite being relatively new (since 2005). RECOMMENDED.
